Community Consultation

THANK YOU to everyone who attended the ‘How Did That Happen?‘ Community Consultation day on the 26th of November.

Numbers exceed our expectations with a total of 240 counted though the doors, lots of great feed back and many mini surveys to analyse.

Thank you too to all of the local groups and organisations who came along and put together a stand. We had many positive comments to say that it was great to see the local groups there, and that people had learnt more about an organisation or  even found out that they existed! Those who were able to attend included: The Theatrical Society; Parishes Against the Incinerator (PAIN), Contact The Elderly; St Peters School; The Women’s Institute; The Coggeshall Society; The Chamber of Trade & Commerce; The Big Park Project; CAUSE; The Community Bus; Coggeshall in Bloom; Honywood School and Neighbourhood Watch.

A special mention to Vanessa and the volunteers who helped to serve the tea and coffee, and delicious cake made by Claire of the Green Apron. You kept us all going during the day as people kept coming!

What’s next?

  • The committee has more policy work to do and we have to analyses all of the responses received.
  • The next consultation activity will be a Parish wide survey, in April / May 2017. It will be delivered to every home and business in the Parish and also available on line.
